Wow, what an absolute treat this is! It’s like taking free jazz, black metal, sludge metal, and post-metal, putting them all onto a blender, and then throwing the mixture at a massive canvas. Words honestly fail to give scope to what this album does; all I can say is that it’s nice to see more bands experimenting with sound and genre barriers like KEN mode. This is my first Canyon Observer album, but it certainly won’t be my last.
